Introduction
CBSU was founded in 2001 as a computational resource for the Tri-institutional Collaboration among Cornell University, Cornell/Weill Medical College, Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and later become Cornell's core facility for bioinformatics and computational biology. In February 2006 CBSU was chosen to become one of ten Microsoft High-Performance Computing Institutes worldwide.
