The Epigenomics Facility of the Cornell University Life Sciences Core Laboratories Center (CLC) and the Weill Cornell Medical College provides an array of epigenomics research resources and services to the university community and to outside investigators. The Epigenomics Facility offers DNA methylation profiling and protein-nucleic acid association (ChIP-Chip and ChIP-Seq) analysis. Core resources and services include sample preparation services and data generation on the NimbleGen, Illumina, Affymetrix, and Agilent microarray platforms, the Sequenom MassArray, the ABI 3730xl for standard DNA sequencing, and next generation sequencing technology platforms, including the Illumina Genome Analyzer II and the Roche 454 GS FLX. The Epigenomics Facility also offers data analysis support. This is an inter-campus facility, with resources and services located on both the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY and the Cornell Weill Medical College in NYC, NY. Services are offered in close collaboration with the CLC sequencing, microarrays and informatics cores. Investigators who use the resources and services of the Epigenomics Facility do not need to have their own wet bench laboratory, since all the sample processing and data generation for an epigenomics project can be performed by the facility. The goal of the Epigenomics Facility is to meet the increasing need of investigators for rapid and accurate epigenomics project design, sample preparation, data generation, and data analysis of both targeted regions and genome-scale studies of DNA methylation, histone modification and transcriptional programming.
